It's been ages since I posted my last post here. It was in June!!!!!!
I feel a bit shame.
So I would like to post more about 2012, before we say good-bye to 2012,
(I'm not totally sure how many posts I would write here, but I will do my best!)
In fact, I have many stories which I would love to share with my a few readers here.
There is nothing big, but so many small but happy stories.
Firstly, I became 'The Drawing Hand'!!
The Drawing Hand is my illustration brand name.
It's a direct, simple and very honest name in order to present my works and myself.
I always say 'I like drawing'.
However, I didn't consider that drawing would be my career.
Finally, I decided to be more brave with something what I really like to do. (Never too late!!)
There were so many thoughts about my brand name.
After the long time of hard consideration, I became 'The Drawing Hand'.
So, this is the first logo design of The Drawing Hand.
I believe that I have 'The Drawing Hand'.
I believe that I use 'The Drawing Hand' to make people smile.
It's the beginning of 'The Drawing Hand'.

Illustration for the poster '2012 TOPS LOVE'
I've been working for the annual event 'TOPS LOVE' youth volunteerism camp.
Since 2007, I have been designing for the event every year.
So, it's 6th year!!
I'm so glad to work on such a great project for long time.
This year is a bit more special.
They needed two different posters.
So I did two illustration and designed two posters with my illustrations.
Here is the first one.
Personally I like the rabbit in the hat! ;)
And this is the final poster design.
I cannot see the actual printed poster because I'm in London now.
I asked for the photos. Hopefully I can get the photos of the poster soon!

The things which make me busy
I haven't posted anything for ages.
In order to make my blog alive, here are two images which I worked on last two weeks.
In fact, the first poster design was printed already.
And the second design is waiting for the feedback from the client.
I quite enjoyed when I worked on those illustrations.
I have designed for this annual volunteerism camp for 6 years.
As a designer who studied social welfare, this kind of projects is meaningful to me.
Hope the client likes my illustration and design. :)
Fingers crossed!

The Queen's Tea party
I believe that I could draw this because I'm in the UK.
Living in London cannot be happy everyday,
but it's obvious I am having different experience
and also I'm looking at the different things and feeling them.
You are invited to the Queen's Tea party.
Do you wanna join us?

the shooting day for my tote bags
I opend my Etsy (www.etsy.com/shop/theDrawingHand) shop recently.
I had been palnning for long long time! Finally, I started. :)
My very first items on Etsy shop are my hand drawn tote bags.
I wanted to take photos of my bags outdoor but it was raining almost everyday in London.
However, luckily we had a sunny weekend.
Can you see the blue sky?
We had missed it so much. Haha!
Anyhow, it was a really nice time with such a good weather!
My friend, Julie helped me al lot on the day.
Thank you again, Julie!
Here are some photos from the shooting day.
Also, you can see my hand-drawn bags.
Oh, btw, we were in Regent Park!
Enjoy the photos.

the Angels

It's been 3 years since I came to the UK.
Such a long time, isn't it?
With the time, I've got lots of angels who are calling me "auntie"!
(Well, I'm not their blood related auntie but they are my best friends' juniors!!)
Whenever I saw their photos, it's difficult to hide my suprise because they are growing up so fast.
I drew the angels.
I'm drawing the babies's faces but I can see their parents' faces.
What a lovely harmony in those cute faces!!
Yes, it's one of things which I really miss in Korea.

The lovely day trip - LEWES
It was a lovely day in Lewes with Mie and Caroline.
One of my good friends, Mie is going back to Japan very soon. (which is sad;;)
So we wanted to do something different before her leaving.
We like drawing and travelling, therefore 'a sketch day trip' is a perfect plan.
Mie read about Lewes in one magazine and told us to visit there.
I hadn't heard about Lewes before, but it was a such lovely place indeed.
It wasn't far from London. We took a train at Victoria station and it took about a hour.
It was a sunny and warm spring day.
Unfortuately, we didn't have much time to look all aorund Lewes and find hidden places.
However, that's the good reason why I should visit again! :)
Here are some photos from the day!
You may ask where the sketch are.
